I stumbled across it during a search and thoguth it seemed to be a pretty hilarious concept!

altho we never played, we looked it over, and we posted a link to this a couple of years back. no one else seems to have picked up on the thing. no external links are listed in Google, for example.

development seems to have stopped in '03.

a game we liked and played, and which can probably still be found somewhere, although it dates from 2000, was "Amsterdoom"---a first-person shooter game. It was a totally localized, and funny virtual recreation of Ams and several well known hotspots, Kalverstraat, the Rijksmuseum, De Dam, Centraal Station, Schiphol, also including visits to YabYum and the RLD where one had the opportunity of shooting the places up with a variety of amusing weapons---plasma rays for example--- whilst battling evil aliens (game developers metaphor for tourists) intent on domination of the locals and destruction of the city.
