Just read in the "Metro" (the local, free commuter newspaper) that de Jaren was voted as the place with the best coffee in Amsterdam. By whom, I don't remember. Just wanted to pass that on.

Well that would be welcome since finding decent coffee seems difficult through parts of europe.
From a Yanks point of veiw.
Tiny cups, poor quality, no refill at a high cost.

People really don't like coffee there? Astonishing.
I thought it was great everywhere, I'd have a hard time picking a best place because even the tiniest places make great cappuchinos.

I thought when you asked for coffee in Amsterdam they just went out and lowered a bucket into the canal.
