The best Christmas markets I have seen in Europe were in Vienna and some small towns around Frankfurt like Marburg and Limburg. In Amsterdam, I would guess that the Albert Cup area might have a decent Christmas market. Dam Square usually has a Ice Rink and Ollie Bollie stop.
Have fun

Common Axxxtw... you surely can come up with a better photo.. Would love to see a night shot with the Palace in the Background. Your other night pics on the site are awesome! How about a "photos" link on your site? No girls offcourse !
I have a great photo from the 5th floor of the Kras overlooking the Dam from last years NYE Party. Would make a great sneak peak for those that my be interested in the goings on in the Dam. On CNN last night they were mentioning the best NYE parties in Europe and to qoute:
"the party in Amsterdam starts a Midnight with all the drinking and smoking lasting unitl the morning"

Smokely,
The Ice rink was taken down after christmas last year to make room for the NYE stage.,, And the year before as well.

Was in ATL about a month ago. Really enjoyed the "The Pink Pony".

Mike,
That Ice rink in front of the Rijksmuseum is a great place to hang,, sitting at the Museum Cafe sipping some beer,,watching the girls,, enjoying the vibe. Then take a short walk over to the Noon,, then head over to the Pijp.
Will have to make do, watching the naked girls wearing santa hats in the NRW area :-)

Yeah the Pony is the bomb..
My ex-fiance was friends w/ the owner so we had lots of "working" lunches...
The girls at the Cheetah are way hotter though... More $$$ but usually worth it.

Agree on the Pony and the Cheetah comments. Too damn expensive for what you get overall though. I went to Vegas a couple weekends ago and while in my room I was starving. I reached for my wallet and opened it up...damn, just dollars! I forgot to exchange currencies...oh wait, I'm still in the U.S.! That is when I knew I travelled too much for the fun stuff!
How are the rates around AMS in January? I figured it would be cheaper since it's so damn cold or am I wrong?
