I watching a documentary on the cable/satellite channel A&E titled "Red Light Districts". The info says it's from 2005 and covers prostitution around the world. Nothing yet on Amsterdam but I'm sure there will be. Will I get to see any girls I know?

I saw that documentary in May and there is indeed a section on Amsterdam (politicians, window owners and a girl or two). All of which are in stark contrast to the tone of the current adminsitration in Amsterdam trying to shutdown or minimize the RLD. The show spends a bit too much time, IMHO, on the Tipplezone interviewing a TS ladyboy who works there. Overall, very interesting snapshot of prostitution and how it plays out in various countries around the world.
Well worth watching!

The full 2 hour show IS both part 1 and 2. My guide listed it that way too -- they broke the two hour block into two contiguous hours. My guess is it must have been a naming trade-off to accommodate the prime time break point in many of the TV guide type publications. But, at least in the US on the A&E channel it ran straight through the full 2 hours from 10pm to midnight, while the news paper showed it as only part 1 from 10 to 11.
