I'm trying something different in October and renting a studio apartment for a week. It's located in the Westerpark area. Not much yielded for it in a search of the archives.

I am taking Amnesia/Grey Area as known entities on the "eastern boundary." There is good stuff in the forum archives on the Jordaan, but does anyone have specific smoking or eating recommendations in or near the Westerpark neighborhood? Or updates for the Jordaan?

A working class neighbourhood. Lots of restaurants including numerous ethnic ones. Short walk to the Jordaan. A few good bars. Nice restaurants nearby on the Ij.

About a 30 minute walk downtown or Tram 3.

Closest coffee shops I know are on Marnixstraat.
