Anyday;
Many, many medical co-ops in the Bay area. Take the BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit, this ride in and of itself is worth the visit!) under the bay over th Oakland. They have sit-down style coffee shops there like Amsterdam. The caveat is that you have to have a medical ID and a doctors note to get in and purchase. Check this link, it will give you almost every dispensary in CA. http://www.oaksterdamnews.com/
Have fun...

I wish I could help you, but I am drug free. I am addicted to the FKK's. The FKK's have totally messed up my private life. After having great sessions with these hot looking model type women, a regular chick just does not do it for me.
Good luck.

Wassup Anyday,
I am a wuss when it comes to drugs, but I would not hesitate to put a person in a state of pain where they would have to eat through a straw for the rest of their lives. Only in self-defense of course!
I have many friends who participate in all forms of drugs & they know how to get the really good stuff. I am not sure if it just West Coast California pride, but they all say California has the best 'bud."
There are 100's of hotels here & I only know the major ones. Any small hotel in the Union Square area is fine. Just ask where the Tenderloin is & you will find plenty of drugs, street walkers & wannabe pimps. Tenderloin is 6-7 blocks from Union Square. If you plan to stay near Fisherman's Wharf, there is close to zero street action. The best strip clubs are on Broadway & Columbus in the North Beach district & the best night clubs are located south of Market street.
If you really want to challenge yourself, take a bus or taxi to Hunters Point. It is one of the most dangerous places in the US. I know SF is known for fruit cakes, but the police will not enter the Point without major backup or a SWAT team. The gang bangers there carry more firepower than the cops. Only a well armed SWAT team can match firepower with those guys.
Another great place to visit is the Mission district. Wear either all BLUE or RED & you will generate plenty of attention from the Mexican gangs. You can also take the subway to East Oakland wear there are plenty of drugs & weapons.
Have you ever shot a gun? I can refer you to a place where a 9mm semi auto with hollow tip rounds are available to experiment.
Automatic weapons are legal here, but prostitution is not! What a joke!

Anyday,
I did not realize "smoking" meant smoking "chronic." Most hotels will not allow it, but if you really want laid back & sleaze, there are dozens of weekly hotels in the Tenderloin & Mission districts. Pleanty of drugs, cracked out hoes that would suck you dry for $10 bucks & more than a lifetime worth of sleaze. I do not know the names of these places & I am not sure if they are listed in the phone book. Communal bathrooms & showers that are filthy beyond imagination. If that gets your juices flowing than more power to you.

Anyday;
I live in LA (350+ miles south) of where you are going, so I'd go with what a local like the "Don" says. I know the "Tenderloin" area is a sleazy, drug infested, prostitution area of the city and is probably where you will find the most RLD style of fun. I would stay somewhere else safer and commute to my sleaze if I were you.
As far as the med-scene goes, you're probably out of luck. While the canna-business is a thriving one in CA (the biggest cash crop in the state by far), you must be a CA resident with a medical history that supports your usage to qualify for a Dr. supplied note. I know this sucks for out-of-towners, but with it everywhere in high supply, it should not be too difficult to find and procure. SR-71 (recently renamed to "the bluebird" or something like that), and The Bulldog (I know...) are two of the more famous coffee-shops in Oakland, but again only for patients :(
If you really want to scare yourself, walk through the Castro district (the gay area) of SF. You wont get shot at by a gun, but kisses or flowers might be thrown your way ;) (I hope thats all they throw at you!)
Have fun...

Here are a few simple ways to go 'green' in SF.
1. Hang out at reggae clubs. Check the local papers for this, but Club Six
is a good place to go. The air inside is fragrant. Ask and ye shall find.
2. Go to the 'Hill' in Golden Gate park. There is a perpetual drum circle there
and once again the air is fragrant. Take Haight Street to the end, walk into the
park, through the tunnel, veer to the right, and you will find what you need.
Saturday and Sunday afternoons are the best times.

If I remember ( even though I usually am already hooked up when I get to SF )..the entrance to Buena Vista parkon Haight treet might be of some help..
Lot's of " skateboarder" dudes that could be of some help.
Go in the afternoon..be careful
As far as taking some on the plane..I would never do it...but I am a big pussy about that due to some past history....
Best Regards

Hi anyday...I've been to SF several times, and even lived there in the 80s (in fact, I'm going there for a day on Friday - long trip from the east coast for one day, I know, but business is business, eh?). You're right - it is very tolerant, beautiful and very unique in its scenery, weather and ambiance. I can't think of a single person who has not - pardon the cliche - left his heart there.
That said, my question was based on curiosity, really. After tons of domestic flights over the years, I can't think of any place at the airport where you get searched. Granted, your carry-on goes through the detector, but I doubt they screen for lil ole baggies - but who knows! And, for sure, you're not going to encounter any dogs, so.....
Then again, if Chikeezee is manning the TSA posts....hey, maybe better not!
Again, just a hypothetical question...:)
