If you can spare the time in SF- be sure to check out the Natural History Museum in golden Gate Park- especially the adjacent aquarium at the NH Museum- Incredible creatures of the deep, creatures from outer- inner space.

I am sure the jazz fest will be chill. Have to laugh at the O Ferrel Stage- a legacy of the Mitchel Brothers who produced arguably the first hardcorne porn film in the US- Behind the Green Door. Grossed mega bucks.

The Mitchell Brothers O Ferrel thatre opened in SF in 1969- July 4th if my sources are correct.. Hunter S thompson called it the Carnige Hall of Public Sex in America ( HST Night Mgr. )

Jim and Artie Mitchell produced Behind the Green Door XXX, It made alot of money. 25 Million Gross-60,000 production cost.

Wow,,,one of the best street parties I have ever attended. Like a combo between Bourbon Street, Haight Ashbury, and Queens Day in Amsterdam. Fun two days of non-stop music and great beer. Within walking distance of the Toronado Pub.

I spent my last evening at the Toronado and enjoyed their Firestone Double IPA and offcourse,,a few Pliny's. I had some serious discussions with the locals about Pliny,,,the brewer,,Big Daddy from Torondado,, way too funny. Also ended up chowing down on two sausages from next door,,,Spicy Lamb and Duck Sausage. The Aged Barrel Stout on tap was awesome as well. Met some interesting growers from Mendicino and Humbolt,,,they are anxious to meet HWB as well.


Also had the pleasure of visiting Russian River Brew Pub in Santa Rosa,,tried the flight 14 Russian River Brew samples for $15,,still ended up drinking two Pliny's and driving back on the 101 to San Francisco. Not recommended to drive back:-)

Thanks again for introducing me to the finest beer in CA. The locals laugh and tell me that they can only drink it on fridays,,so they can recover over the weekend.
