not quite :)

"roken" (spoken with a long 'o') is "to smoke"; "rook" (with the same long 'o') is "smoke"

the Rokin is a main street in Amsterdam. Originally it was part of the river Amstel, and was known then as Rak-in (a "rak" is an old Dutch word for a straight body of water). Hence, on one side you have the Damrak and on the other, the Rakin (now Rokin). Amsterdam of course takes its name from Amestelledamme, which later became Aemsterdam...

ps: Puma has the translation of my sig correct; "dikke sigaren" is code for joints, and of course the thing about the teachers was wonderfully illustrated by the bit of rioting on Museumplein at the LAKS demonstrations in November ;) it's also a bit of an inside joke because it comes from one of my first Dutch language CDs.

Me? Damn near unemployable. Latest project is to try to get Payroll to pay me in Euro 50's to save time and hassle when spending it on our favorite hobby.

I, too ...am a professional masterbator.

Been working at it pretty much every day for over 30 years, but still can't seem to get it quite right. Until I do, I'm required to keep trying (union rules).
