In America, we are supposed to be getting a stimulus check. Any other Americans here find it a bit ironic to spend it in other countries? For me it will truly be a "stimulus" check, I plan on using it to be properly stimulated whilst being abroad.... Thanks Mr. President, you may be further putting the U.S. further in debt to foreign interests and dependance on oil, but I'll have a heck of a time sinking myself into foreign interests as well.

Boobs not bombs people...

just thought I'd share that thought..

Haha... I was thinking the same thing. Just got my check the other day and I'll be putting it to good use in about 3 weeks when I make my second visit to the free world. Can't wait to stimulate some hot Bulgarian poon... hopefully I'll find many of the same ladies I met back in April.

When I return from AMS in June, my stimulus check should be waiting for me. So, I'll be getting stimulated from there and here.

By flooding the economy with currency, purposely weakening the dollar so that all loans the US has gotten from foreign banks are worth less. These stimlus checks are only making your trip to Europe more expensive.

"Starting in late April, the (US) Treasury began sending economic stimulus payments to more than 130 million households. To receive a payment, taxpayers must have a valid Social Security number, $3,000 of income and file a 2007 federal tax return. IRS will take care of the rest."

I think it's a completely irresponsible and lame idea to give away that much money when it could go to better use as a lump sum. By the time it gets divided up and sent out to families it's hardly even worth the effort, people who are in real economic trouble couldn't possibly dig them selves out with the amount being sent out. But hey! If it's for free, it's for me, I'll take it ............and stimulate the economy over seas on vacation!

First, Bluto,
you're going back after being there in
April? Holy shit, that must be nice.
I keep watching the dollar weaken by
the day, and keep telling myself to not
even think about going to Amsterdam
any time soon.
Second, this stimulus check is a big hoax.
Please, what is $600/per person going to
do for this economy? We're in a heap
of shit here in the good ole USA.
And I won't say a word about W(onderful).
He's doing the best he can.
People in the business world are frightful
of what's going to happen in November.
Anyday, it's a check the government is giving
all us working slugs. Hip hip hooray.
Did anyone know that there are 25 million
people on food stamps here? I read that
the other day, and was stunned. Wait until
next winter when people on fixed incomes will
have to decide what to spend the money on:
home heating oil or food. It's going to be some-
thing.
We've got to do something to turn this thing around.
I don't know what it's going to take, but $600 isn't
going to help. A large percentage of people getting
this check are going to use it to pay down their
own personal debt, not use it to buy things.
But, like they said, it's free money, so don't
complain. I'm certainly not going to.
