Anyone know anything more about this?

I understand this is being called a trial run but I also understand that allowing only Dutch citizens to purchase smoke is going to open a big bag of trouble. What prevents someone Maastricht from making a train ride to the nearest coffeeshop that will sell to a tourist (Sittard)? Supply and demand seem to always win out and if local Maastricht coffeeshops cannot sell to a tourist then it only pushes the trade further into the blackmarket. Anyway,this is not real good news for me but normally I fly into Amsterdam before heading south so a visit to Hunters,The Coin,and maybe the Grey Area to stock up on supplies appear to be something I will be doing next visit. That being said I have an idea smoke will be available in Maastricht still but just not as open as before.
