Hi all
Off to Belgium (Bruges) on the bike at the end of the month. Just wondering does anyone know of any coffeeshops on the border. Having googled the subject it would seem that most have closed but I know you lot are a font of all knowledge!!
Any help appreciated

doubt this is much help, but I used to work in Tilburg about 10 years ago,and there was a pretty good coffeeshop opposite the main train station - would be very easy to find, but coudn't tell you if it was still open.

From what I can gather most of the the southern border towns have closed their shops. Just looking for some insider local info re shops etc. Tilburg shops have closed apparently. :(

Tilburg still has coffee shops that are open, as do other border towns. For further information: http://coffeeshopdirect.info/phpBB3/

I was in Maastricht the past 2 weeks. Never had an issue at anytime with buying weed or hash.

Well took a ride up to terneuzen this weekend...interesting place. Like something from a si fi movie when you come in from the coast, cool buildings rising up from a stark landscape. Anyway. Popped into the Miami Coffeeshop so so White widow at 10e a gram. Typical Coffeeshop really. No issue re ID or anything like that. Dealer asked if I wanted to buy 2 kilos. Grinned and laughed....

spent a few days in tilburg in april, i like it there a lot. by "the coffeeshop opposite the trainstation" i assume you mean the grass company?? this is more like a five minute walk from the station, but on the same street, only on the opposite side. it's a nice big place where you can get a good meal as well as a smoke, a bit different to the coffeeshops of amsterdam. they were very strict on entry though, i guess this is to do with the trouble with the borders and closing shops etc?? anyway you were not allowed on the premises without presenting your passport first.
didn't buy any weed in there myself as i had my own stash, but a friend bought a pack of ready-rolled northern lights / tobacco mix, and unlike the shitty tourist trap style "joints" in amsterdam, they were actually really good and smelled excellent.
