Hi Guys. Could anyone recommend a Coffeshop where you can sit with a nice view over the city or area. I find a lot of the places I have visited before are quite dark and dingy.

Hello there, depends on the sort of view you like. If you want a fairly quiet canal side and a few people to watch in a nice location try La Tertulia on Prinsengracht. Friendly small shop with a good view, nice people, seating inside and outside. Products are usually OK (average) and cheaper than central shops. For a busier location try Jolly Joker on Nieuwmarket / Zeedilk corner, their place has plenty of natural light and seating near windows, also loads of people watching to see. Product average and OK, generally friendly. There are three other shops on Nieuwmarket with outside terraces like Hill Street Blues on the Market, if the weather is OK a nice spot. Hope that helps a bit. Cheers, Mr M
