could anyone tell me where the la canna is and is it any good?

the reviews are horrible BUT i've been and while i didn't buy there i did have a good time...

The place is a shithole, but if you want to get there, turn left out of cafe 420, walk up to the padestrianised shopping street and turn right, La shithole is on your right

It's on the street that parallels Damrak to its west...about 1/4 the way from CS to Dam Square.

Was one of the many stumbling locations from a trip there last week. Stopped in for a drink, but didn't buy any smoke.

walking away from Centraal on Damrak, take the first right after Teasers then take the next right, you're almost outside it.

Horrible place, oppressive atmosphere.

About a thousand years ago, the hotel there was called the Hotel Calfiornia, and a young Luther met a beautiful English nurse while staying there and ... oh man, the memories are so good they hurt so bad. Funny thing is, I checked out, but it is as if I never did leave....

dont do it m8 much better coffeeshops to spend them euros in !!!!!

la canna is about 5 minutes walk from central station.
but that place sucks. It is probably the cheapest hostel. But if I were you stay somewhere nicer (Bulldog is just a little more). And their coffeeshop has a mean vibe. But only a few blocks or so away is Kadinsky's or Popeyes ...much nicer.
