My wife and I will be spending a weekend in Amsterdam soon. We will have one evening free to do as we please and are interesting in finding out more about the erotic side of the city.

My wife has expressed an interest in going to a show. I went to one many years ago (Casa Rosa, I think), and would not describe it as a very erotic experience. My wife is also turned on by women, although she has never been in a situation where she could take this interest further and also doesn't know whether she would actually want to.

Having read some of the posts here, Fun4Two and Showboat seem good places to visit. But I am curious as to the behaviour in these places. Are people expected to participate or is it OK to just sit and watch if you find out that’s all you want to do? Or is there even anything to watch? Do people just meet and then go off into private rooms? And most importantly, are people’s boundaries respected, for example, if my wife finds that things have gone further than she can handle.

Is it even wise for us to go to a club when we don't know what our limits are and would we, therefore, be better off going to a show?

I hope somebody can help with some info. We’ll only have one night and would like to not spend it figuring things out, but rather going straight to what we hope will be a fun evening.

ShowBoat is a nice place, there is stuff to see as exhibitionist couples will get it on in full view, but there are also private areas (with peepholes for the voyeurs, so you can be a little exhibitionistic if you like). Your boundaries will be respected, the staff emphasise that no-means-no and that the women are in charge. You might be approached, but a simple headshake or gesture is enough to dismiss any unwelcome attention.

Fun4Two looks wonderful - never been there - and may have the advantage for you that there wont be any single males there. I have read of guys bringing escorts, so the "couples" might not all be bona-fide. Still I understand that everything is based on no-pressure.

Check their websites for dates/times - ShowBoat isnt open every day - and search thru the postings here I'm sure you'll find lots more about both.

Thanks for the info Mr Magoo. My wife really liked Showboat, but unfortunately it's SM night when we're in town. She didn't seem as enthusiastic about Fun4Two from their website.

If we're going to do this, I expect it will be a slow process. Maybe we'll go to a show first. Who knows, maybe we'll end up being disappointed that it wasn't enough and we find ourselves wanting to come back again to take things a step further.

Hello. I recommend going with a private meeting first, if you are just starting out. Clubs can be intimidating and may drive you from the lifestyle. There is much more than Swinger clubs outs there.

hi try out the peeps shows just but ur euros in and enjoy the show we were there in jan this year and saw some great shows also when the performers see u are a cpl u get specail attenchion and its good fun to flash them back etc while u in the booth altho they are very smal but ull see lots and it ringht next to u happening
