Just a quick note to all that have stayed at Te Laat,,, it is closed,,for sale,,kaput. Just as I found the place boarded up and for sale the bells starting ringing at the church next door,,like being at a funeral. Many fond memories partying and meeting up with many fellow ignatzmice.

Fond memories indeed.

Compared to the little hotel right across from the Alkmaar train station, Te Laat does not have a good reservation system. If you like to stay in Alkmaar, you may try the Best Western located half way between the train station and Achterdam.

I feared that Te Laat would not last forever.

Like you and others (including the Admiral), I have many fine memories staying there. Where we will now go instead?

Mr. Plug

I remember it well Plug, it was one of my fondest memories of Alkmaar. I remember them knocking on my door to leave at around 11am and, as the spoiled American (where checkout is no earlier than noon), my being upset about it. Then leaving to see the beers you graciously had left for me.

I suppose all good things do come to an end.
