Any info on Eindhoven, is it like Amsterdam etc?

I've been to the dam a few times but going to Eindhoven for the first time next week.

Is there any red light scene at all?

When in Holand stick to Amsterdam was over recently and went to Rotterdam stayed 20 mins and went back to Amsterdam what a dull place it was.

I went to Eindhoven on the last day of my trip last summer. See "Trip report pt2" in the Amsterdam forum for my comments about it. If i had chosen a different girl i'm sure i would have had a better time. I went for an Angelina Jolie lookalike and got burned.

One cool thing about Eindhoven is that you're definitely off the tourist track. If you are going there on some other business, a turn by the windows couldn't hurt if you have time.

I don't think i will make Eindhoven a destination this year. For my day trip window shopping i will probably try again the much touted Alkmar Achterdam zona, but i am more drawn to den Haag for some reason. i get a hard to explain rush when entering the window area there. It's like stepping into a Doors album cover and i've had more bizarre conversations with the girls there than anywhere else.

Eindhoven has a well established private houses scene.
