hi everyone. has anybody got any tips on decent campsites around the nederlands?
I also read somewhere that if you get the free ferry behind central station, Amsterdam, there is a campsite within a 10 minute walk? can anyone confirm this and give more info.

hi have a look at this site.

it is at the end of the metro so it takes about 20 mins to central station.
i find it best to get a travel pass for the metro that can be used on trams and bus unlimited for 1 2 or 3 days.
there ar a couple of other sites but i find this best.It has 24 hours security and a pass is needed to get in at night.
showers ect are cleaned very often and the rest of the site is kept very tidy.

It's 14€ per night for a twin room, they've got a couple of tents for rent so you don't have to bring yours. There's a night bus that runs from the station every hour all night long. It sounds interesting, I might give it a try one day !

another great piece of information. If i knew things like this 15 years ago i would have saved thousands. and thats worth a lot of fun in the Dam!
