Hello

im going to stay in Zandvoort with my girlfriend for a week. Is there anything to do beside the beach and going to other cities *lol*.
What about hookers and coffeeshops in zandvoort? Are there any? What about the nightlife? Any clubs worth paying a visit?
Hope you can help me out.

Cheers!

It's a pretty small place, and without the beach it wouldn't really be there...........

Check out the train station!

They set up restaurants on the beach along the strand, just like Scheveningen near The Hague.
If you are visiting after Easter, they all should be up and running.

The restaurants sometimes have a theme (like Mexican or Caribbean) and can be quite
lively in the evening hours. Being Dutch restaurants, the seafood is excellent, don't miss it.

Zaandvoort is not very large. The sea and not a RLD is the main attraction.

If I am correct, it used to host the Formula One race ages ago...

I think that Spa in Belgium is now the closest F1 venue to Holland ?

The circuit at Zandvoort still hosts a few races during the year. It was indeed the site of many F1 races in the past. I always enjoy visiting the tracks on days when there is no activity. Twist up a fat one and walk around the ground and you can almost hear the roar of the engines. There is a lot of history involved with the Zandvoort circuit. I included a link to the circuits website

Hi Block

Not to hijack the thread..

But the F1 race course in Montreal is on an island in the St Lawrence river..Ile de Notre Dame...

Usually public parkland roads during the year..

I too twist one up and " do laps " on my bicycle ..just like Mr Schumacher...LOL

Another venue that has no F1 this year..

Do you believe that we do not have 1 race in North America this year !!!!

Best Regards

Smuler

They allow you to just walk around? That's great, I fancy wandering through the dunes and imagining historic races there.......
