After a 9 hour trip into Schipol, I had my obligatory 1hour wandering around the airport,

Yeah, this is exactly why I love this place, you're always cheerfully welcome no matter where you're from, as long as you don't make trouble. Those were little huts at the lower level while the jacuzzi was at the higher level. But that was November, 2006.

My currency is just barely a premium currency at 1.11-1.12 euro per unit. The long term average is usually 1.46 euro per unit. To see 24% of the value of your money lost by factors beyond your control is disheartening.

Basically for the international person my net value has decreased by 24%. So sad.
