once went to leeuwarden instead of groningen by mistake. got back on train and went to groningen. if i'd of know how good leeuwarden is i'd of checked it out. will eventually get there.

Leeuwarden should be on anyones list of place to visit if you have the time.

The RLD is not a bad walk from the train station. Plus it is a nice city to walk around if you are into that.

Just looked www.NS.NL. If you are going from AMS Centraal to Leeuwarden you are going to go to Amersfoort first. The train from Amersfoort to Leeuwarden is the same one to Groningen. It splits in half in Zwolle ... so just watch which half you are on.

...and since I always plug how great Amersfoort is...take a look around there as well. ;-)
