I translated via hookers nl and the News Brief that the hearing has been postponed from 6 December until 21-23 March 2011.

The hearing at the highest court level (Senate) will consider whether the 92 rooms are to be closed. It's a licensing issue under BIBOB.

I do not know if there are any interim measures, to be applied. Or indeed any other issues which could see rooms closed. It was difficult to translate it all.

the website (the Dutch version) achterdam.nl links to a PDF file newsbrief, the sort n/synth has brought to your attention before.

It goes into a massive amount of detail about Alkmaar.

You should also be aware that any restriction on girls working <21 years of age will hit Alkmaar,at least from my experience, more than De Wallen.

Hope this is of use
Danny

Funny you should ask that:

Last year I was in Thailand talking to a girl who told me she once met a farang who had that very some word tattood on his member! She had no idea what BIBOB meant as well, but she was afraid to ask since her English wasn't that good.
So quite puzzled she continued her work, getting his member to stand to full attention, only to find out that the tattoo actually read BILLYBOB69!!

Somebody you know maybe? ;-)

LOL!
That, sadly, is far from the truth. I was reminded of this during my last trip to Pattaya - http://www.ignatzmice.com/WWWBoard/PHPB ... hp?t=17391

I’ve been told about Thai’s bluntness about what they see as ‘fact’. And if they think that it is ‘fact’ then there is no problem discussing it.

Anyway I visited Devils Den and took two hotties for a threesome. Well I’m lay there and with the best hard-on that I’ve had since I was a teenager and their all over me whilst there is some porn playing on a TV in the background. The girls look up at the screen and the guy in the movie is typical well-hung porn star, they then look down at my cock and one of them says “You not very long like him, instead yours very strong”!

Danny - there doesn't to be any change from the last time I spoke to you regarding Alkmaar windows closing!! But there is different bits of info regarding De Wallen - - one of the girls told Bluto that people were showing up at kamers regularly measuring up the kamers - - but, last weekend, it came out, the money to buy all the Sexyland windows isn't there, and that the owners are putting their feet down and refusing to sell anyway!! Positive.

Peace

Guys, the last time I was in Alkmaar (Aug 2010) there was some renovation/extension work going on. I’m sure someone else also mentioned this elsewhere. Why would they be undertaking this if the kamers were due to close? Unless the Govt. will offer the owners a generous compulsory purchase figure per kamer. If that's the case I'd squeeze as many kamers in as I could.

Yeah, they put an extra corridor into one of the buildings.....rooms looked nicely done out. Whatever's going to happen with regards to closures or not, I guess the owners put the extra rooms in so he/she/they could make as much money as long as the rooms are allowed to be open.

Peace

I believe the new windows belong to a different owner than the one whose license (for the 92) is being challenged?
Otherwise, it would be 92 plus the news ones (5?) being under legal consideration.

If the 92 close, because of a license revokation under BIBOB, they won't necessarily be purchased.

I understand it's like what was happening in Amsterdam, back in 2007, before the owner decided to sell to the city.

The appeals court has delayed the court hearing about the future of the Alkmaar prostitution district until the Spring of 2011. The decision has to do with the future of 92 prostitution windows on the Achterdam in Alkmaar (...) The hearing was scheduled for 6 December but it has been delayed.

The hearings are now planned for 21 and 23 March

Funny, I was speaking to someone "in the know" who said the court date(s) wasn't postponed from December, but that nothing was ever going to happen until the above dates (this month). Didn't really matter when I found out because we already knew nothing happened in the court in December. Whether anything will actually happen as a result of the court hearings on the above dates, I couldn't say.....but I'm sure there'll be loopholes that people will try and exploit if the hearings don't fall in the RLD's way.

We'll have to wait and see..not long now.

Peace

Everything I've read suggests the case was heard.

But I have read nothing about a verdict.

I will post here, should I read anything in the press.

So boys,a bit of good news for a fucking change!

Alkmaar District Court ruled last Thursday that the 92 windows are to remain open despite the Councils attempt to shut them down.

The Council wanted to withdraw the operating licence from brothel owner Koos Nool because of his alleged criminal connections. However the Court ruled that there was no evidence that Nool's company was a money laundering operation nor did it find any evidence to show the properties had been bought with drug's money.

This ruling is being seen as a major setback for the controversial Bibob legislation.

Happy days......could the tide be turning!
