Greetings members..Thanks to Chivaz and ST for recommendations for my upcoming trip !!. I understand that this weekend May 5-6 has a large chemical convention in Frankfurt.

Are there any conventions on the weekend of May 12/13 ???


Would not want to deal with the traffic inside the Palace..
Can anyone let me know if it will be a calm weekend then ??

I went to www.hotel.de (I booked several hotels through them on a recent trip) and
the prices available don't seem to indicate any special event.

Visit the site and see if something is to your liking.

I stayed a the Best Western Plaza in a quiet area within an easy walk of the
Hauptbahnhof. The room was fine and the staff were most pleasant.

True enough, one way to assess whether or not there is a Mess ("Trade Fair") on in Frankfurt during your visit is to assess the hotel prices. This is a pretty good indicator. However, there is a specific website you can visit that lists all the Messe events:

www.messefrankfurt.com

Try that and then you will know.

Btw: The Best of Both Worlds is: There is a Messa event on, but the hotel prices are still pretty reasonable. Messe events can often translate into better girl selection at Palace and Oase. If the hotel prices are stable then you have the benefits and not the negatives...

This weekend Frankfurt is hosting an Erotic Messe, in the Eissporthalle of all places, if it lives up to the advertising placards anybody visiting is going to need cooling down!

I went to the Erotic Messe in Köln once. It is mostly just hype. A good night at an FKK slam dunks an erotic messe. If you are into sex toys and porno films, then it is an ok place to hang.
