Oase on the Rebound: Review of Oase on Saturday 26.03

Background and Prefatory Comments: To say it simply, after many, many years (during the “glory days” of the early 2000s – 2018) of visiting Oase as my Numero Uno go-to club, I sadly witnessed and fully experienced the deterioration of Oase in terms of atmosphere, club-layout, club girls pricing culture and, most importantly, the girl LU and club pricing culture. The several phases of renovation and rearrangement of the club lounge that started well before Covid struck always seemed to strike the wrong cord with me. For example, I always felt the old Kino arrangement in Oase was one of the club’s strongest aspects, as it encouraged “couch action” and created a unique atmosphere within the club. However, the longtime owner-boss of Oase at that time, Mauro, decided to completely eradicate that whole Kino dynamic by knocking down the partition wall (wtf!!!) and began to transform things into something that did not impress (at least to me). In my mind, there was no improvement, but just the opposite. Clearly, Mauro never had much respect for the old adage: “If it works, don’t fix it!” Instead, he seemed to be writing a textbook entitled “How to Ruin a Successful FKK Club”.
Indeed, during my last few exploratory visits to Oase during the weeks and months following the general post-lockdown reopening of clubs during summer/autumn 2021, I had mediocre to negative experiences with this club. The LU was pathetic compared to the way it used to be, many girls quoting me ridiculous prices, so each time I left the club “unpopped”, wishing I had saved the 50e-Eintritt for better things. By mid-October 2021, I was not only disappointed with Oase, but actually disgusted with the place. Deciding I would no longer visit Oase, I crossed it off my list…Sharks became my entire club Universe…

Oase on Saturday 26 March 2022: After about 6 months of boycotting Oase,on this particular day in late March I suddenly decided to reverse course and give the place another try. As I drove out of central Frankfurt towards the A5 and turned north towards Bad Homburger Kreuz, a voice in my head kept repeating in a feedback loop “You are going to throw away 50 euros on the Oase Eintritt again, you Idiot! Don’t go to Oase, but drive south towards Darmstadt Nord, you fool!” I answered that voice by saying: “Look, I will never know the truth if I don’t go and see it for myself….just drive up there, enter the parking area and if it’s half-empty then turn around, but if there are lots of cars, well that’s probably a reflection of something good…or at least decent.” So, at about 17.00 on a nice sunny/warm Saturday afternoon, I drove up to the edge of BHH and guess what? The Oase parking was over three-quarters full. I parked and walked towards the front door…
As I paid my Eintritt and finished the check-in process, the girl at the Front Desk (who I recognized because she was some years ago a working girl here --- no sign of Alina, though) smiled at me and said “It’s Party Day today.” Really, I had no idea what she meant, but I just answered “Yeah, Party! I can see it in your eyes…” But then as I stepped inside the club towards the bar to get my towel, robe, etc. I immediately understood there was a real “Party Event” that day: A female staff member was handing out glasses of champagne (well, it probably would not meet the criteria for real ‘Champagne’ but rather some cheap sparkling whatever), which I declined. Later, one of the girls told me it was indeed a special event this day, the purpose of which was to showcase that Oase was back!, and that it now offers a huge LU with lots of girls and it is still a viable club and can hold its own against the number 1 seed, Sharks, blah, blah…
During my first hour in Oase, I just wandered around, sat in various places in different parts of the club, absorbing the place, assessing some of the changes, reacting with nostalgia to some of the non-changes, watching them set up what would later become an extensive dinner buffet with 15-20 starter selections and a pretty good main course choice (what they claimed to be kalb schnitzel picatta – veal schnitzels in a kind of light creamy lemon sauce)… I visited the spacious and mostly deserted Oase garden (looking quite nice I might add) to smoke frequent "medicinal" bowls of high-powered cannibis.

The biggest change I noticed in the club was the now darkened whirlpool area in front of the dining room. t was first reported hThis was something I was anticipating and looking forward to seeing for myself -- I had previously heard about this from another source. So before I actually saw it in reality, I was thinking: “No, not again, Oase managment investing money in a change that actually ruins the spot rather than improves it…” But, No! Once I walked through and experienced it, I changed my mind: It really works! Basically, they have painted the ceiling and surrounding walls black and inserted purple-coloured LED strip lighting here and there, plus they added a heavy blackout curtain by the door leading to garden, which really cuts out the intrusive sunlight during daylight hours. Gone are the low-cut couches and tables that used to be here during my previous visits in ’21. They are now replaced with black-coloured reclining lounge chairs.

Of course, from the moment I entered the club, and throughout my explorations of different corners of the premises, my eyes were constantly roaming and looking at the girls and trying to assess the breadth and quality of the LU. I really tried to view the Oase LU on this Party Saturday as an independent entity, something on its own, but in practice I found it impossible in my mind not to compare it to what is normally on offer at Sharks, a club and LU with which I am nowadays much, much more familiar than Oase ’22.
LU during that first hour or two: I was a bit skeptical about the LU at first. Yes, there were a good number of girls –maybe 40+? There were a few good looking slim girls, as always, but the majority seemed not top shelf attractive, a good number had fat thighs and asses, were overweight to outright fat! Then I noticed some familiar faces with older bodies and thick layers of facial make-up. I could see a few girls like Louisa, who seem to have been at Oase for more years than the Greko-Roman “marble” statues outside. There was a great girl I used to see at Oase repeatedly when she was younger, a girl named Denisa, who was originally dark-haired gypsy type, but went bottle-blonde (bad move!) even before Covid. (My fire for her no longer burns…) Overall, a significant percentage of girls seemed to my uneducated eyes like they were new: I did not recognize from the “old guard” or even from the relatively new ’21 girls I had seen during my most recent disappointing visits. My grade for the girl LU at Oase up until 18.30-1900: C+

LU after 19.00: Things can change…things do change, always. The LU changed, it got better and better. The girls, and men just kept coming…By 20.00 the club was packed. It was tough to find a place to sit on the couches in the main lounge…at the bar they had some bad DJ playing bad music way too loud…OK, maybe not everything changes…I walked around the club again and it was slightly reminiscent of the “good ol’ days) when the narrow corridors between bar and whirlpool area get clogged up and we have the only kind of good “Stau”…I went back to the lounge and noticed that now the club must have at least 70 girls. Suddenly, I was thinking “Hey, this LU is not bad at all…nice change from Sharks, as good as Sharks can be…” Finally, I found a good seat at the back corner area of what used to be the old Kino. I started to really focus on the girls, trying to decide who/if I would do a Zimmer with…A few girls came by and sat with me but I was not impressed and not showing enthusiastic response to them so they pissed off pretty quickly…But there were some very nice looking new girls across the floor and I was about to edge closer when, suddenly, I saw her, she was coming towards me accompanied by another girl with glasses. It was one of my all time favourites at Oase, a petite girl named Cora, who I had many Zimmers with for a few years, and then she abruptly quit the club back in June 2018. I had assumed she was, like so many girls we’ve loved before, just left the scene and was gone forever…But here she was walking towards me in March ’22. She sat down and we embraced and started to catch up with each other (her friend with glasses thankfully left us alone)…”Hey, Cora, great to see you!!! Really, I never expected this, it’s a big surprise because I thought you went back to Romania, got married and had two or three kids by now…” She giggled (she does that a lot): “No, I’ve been around but not here in Oase…the past few weeks I’ve been working at Acapulco Gold in D-dorf, but now I am transitioning back to Oase….again.” “Acapulco Gold?” I asked “You must be happy you are back at Oase. I’ve never been to Aca Gold, but isn’t that a dirty club to work in?” “No way, I tell you the truth, that club, Acapulco Gold, is the cleanest place I’ve ever worked in, it’s cleaner than here! You will never ever see a dirty bed or anything.” Well, that was nice to hear and I thanked her for rectifying my ignorance.

No surprise: I soon found myself in the quiet, mirrored Room 25 with dear Cora lying naked on top of me. It was like “reunion sex” with an ex-girlfriend. Top service she gave me! Everything that we consider part of the original “club standard” service and more was on the table, so to speak. The chemistry was very strong, the level of closeness was tight and reignited… So I decided to extend the original one hour to two hours. It was a definite positive factor that back on the couch pre-Zimmer, she whispered in my ear “You know, for former good customers like you, I keep my prices to 100/60…” so it was fantastic to do 120/200 with Cora. If there ever was any criticism about Cora in the old days, perhaps it was that she was too skinny…but now five years later she has added a kilo or two and I have to say it looks great on her, even though I never had a problem with her former body weight.

Final Remarks: I walked out of Oase that night fully satisfied and convinced I would be back soon. I had the impression Oase was indeed back…However, thus far other new factors at Sharks have kept my car pointed towards Darmstadt, but soon I will make another visit to BHH. I have no idea if the impressive LU I saw, but got diverted away from studying too closely by my attention towards Cora, is truly representative of the every peak day LU at Oase, or whether it was a one-off thing for that particular Saturday Party Event. I also cannot speak to whether the average price and service levels I got are typical for most/all girls at Oase (I suspect not!). It maybe that most girls at Oase now charge the same as at Sharks or Palace. I just don’t know…

• The good old rock solid standard prices before Covid used and accepted by 90%+ of girls at most big Hessen clubs: 50euros/30mins, 100/60mins.
• The new (now current) standard prices quoted by most girls at Sharks and Oase and Palace: 100/30, 150/60.


Discussion:

Yes, generally speaking, there has been a slow and steady uptick in pricing within the larger Frankfurt area clubs. When everything reopened in the Summer of '21, a movement began amongst many girls at Sharks (Darmstadt) and in Oase (Burgholtzhausen near Bad Homburg) as well as in Palace and Mainhatten (both of which are inside the city limits of Frankfurt proper) to move towards the new pricing structure.

At first, the majority of local German mongers, returning with glee and great anticipations to reopened clubs after over a year of clubs closed from lockdown, were hesitant, reluctant to accept the price increases and some were even outright rebellious, claiming they would just go to the club and do fewer rooms or no rooms at all. But this resistance to the new prices seemed to buckle rather quickly, almost like dominos falling, so by late autumn ’21 and beyond more and more local German mongers just threw in the towel and started to go with the new pricing flow by paying the girls the new prices. Many guys are now doing 100/30 rooms, where they used to do 100/60 rooms. You can still find girls today who accept/or just charge the old prices, but their number is dwindling fast and these girls are now the exception not the normal rule. Technically, you can still find girls who will go to the room with you for 50/30mins, but you get what Germans call “Laufhaus Service”, meaning something akin to Amsterdam RLD window service (i.e. rushed and bad), so not really worth it imo…Ever hear of In and Out Burger?

For historical context, let’s not forget that the standard prices had remained the same and were never changed for over 15 years. Actually they stayed the same (50/30, 100/60) ever since the Euro replaced the D-Mark, so the girls could make a case that it was high time prices went up because for so long they were getting the short end of the stick. Also relevant: A lot of girls went “underground” starting in April ’20 – late June/July ’21 (when clubs reopened after lockdown), meaning when all the clubs were closed by government decree and general health restrictions, these girls conducted their business on a Private basis, using apartments or even hotel rooms to see guests. There was even a certain hotel in Mannheim that was nicknamed “Mini-Sharks” because so many ex-Sharks girls used the same hotel venue for their private underground sex trade. The standard Private Escort prices are 150/60 and this pricing scheme was then carried by these girls back into the clubs when they finally reopened Sharks, Oase, Palace, etc.
Nevertheless, by November ’21, most girls in the major Frankfurt area clubs were asking 100/30, 150/60 and most guys were paying it! That said, I remember quite clearly that on a visit to Sharks in late November ’21, I tried to girls who were new to me, but were considered “top shelf” girls in terms of service and they had quite decent looks (8+), and even though I was a new customer to these two girls, they right off the bat charged me 100/60, not the 150/60 that was becoming the standard at that time within the club generally. I quickly realised I was on to a good thing with these two (neither really knew the other, so these were independent finds), so I repeated with them often after our debut Zimmer session and as they considered me a “Stammgast” (Regular Customer), they kept to the “old” pricing scheme (100/60). I asked both of them about their strategy of charging the old cheaper prices, even for new guests like me, whilst most girls in the club, even girls brand new with now known track record, were charging 100/30, 150/60. Both said they believed they would end up earning more money by keeping to the old prices because in the end they would do more rooms. Of course, I supported their tactics and patted them on the back telling them to keep the faith!

This brings up another very relevant point, which, my dear friend, Bluto, is something that unfortunately you could not benefit from as it only applies to guys who have been visiting these FKK clubs for years and have therefore acquired a number of different girls they see regularly. I am referring to the so-called “grandfathered” pricing scheme. A girl you know for years and spent several hours with in the pre-Covid days when the old prices were standard will often waive the higher new prices for her steady Stammis/Regulars, giving them the old cheaper pricing scheme. It’s akin to Frequent Flyer Miles, I suppose…Often this translates into continued loyalty to the girl from her regular customers and the girl gets multi-hour Zimmers/Rooms, instead of short duration rooms of 30 mins. It was exactly this “grandfathered” price phenomenon that I experienced with Cora at Oase in the report published above.

Finally, I have seen girls quote me and other guys ridiculous prices like 200/60! They do this both to guys they judge to be newbies/tourists, but I’ve also seen it happen even to local German mongers who visit the club multiple times per week, week after week, and are thus known faces by girls in the club. Sometimes guys are stupid enough to pay this –we all know the old adage: “Don’t think with your little head”—but for the most part these few outlier girls are either bargained down or boycotted altogether.
Since you expressed interest in this subject and kindly lauded my report above, I will post here a report I have on file (I originally posted it on a local German forum), a report made about an incident at Sharks that happened to me in late February ’22. It’s a nice if slightly humourous story.

Yeah, I'm just a regular guy (by some measures, lol) and generally never had the money to visit FKKs more than once a year. The fact that I don't drive also limits me so I've only been to FKKs a few times in my life. My last visit to Germany was a complete nightmare, probably 10 hours in the car round-trip from Alkmaar and stau after stau after stau, not to mention getting stopped by police for the crime of having Dutch plates. Weasel did a great job telling that story in his last TR. :) Given that experience and all that has changed in the past couple years, I guess I'll just try to remember the handful of good times as I have about zero inclination to try again.

If we consider inflation, I don't make any more money than I did in 2016, say... I'm sure I make a lot less. Anyone who stayed at the same company like I did is probably in a similar boat. I moved to Alkmaar a while back and the price increase (from €35 -> €50), also introduced after one of the lengthier lockdowns, pretty much ruined the hobby for me. So while I understand the reasons for it, it doesn't make it much easier for someone on a shitty Dutch salary. Oh well, but earning significantly more money than I do now would simply be "niet normaal" by local standards so I guess I'm the asshole for even thinking about it. :-D Sometimes I wonder what on earth I'm even doing in this silly country. Then I think back to all the money I spent in American strip clubs as a young man and I remember. :)

Yeah, I feel your pain, weasel...now that I think about it, I did spot a (yellow) NL plate or two in the Sharks Parking area a couple of weeks ago, but really, pre-Covid there were far more cars with NL plates than now to be found in the parking areas of both Sharks and Oase, but I the picture might be quite different at clubs in the NWR area, which is much closer to NL borders than Frankfurt in Hesse.

Polizei stopping is not fun...I've got war stories on that whilst carrying primo grey area-Tweede Kamer material on me...but that's another story for another time...

If it might interest you, there is a certain Strasse in Frankfrut, just a few minutes walk from the Hbf, which has developed over the past few years as pretty secure, steady and safe place to buy weed from mainly African guys, who you can definitely bargain down from their first offers...In terms of quality of weed, it can be hit or miss, but two weeks ago on this particular street corner I was able to score two grams of pretty good haze, all buds, no shake, from a tall thin dude (looked alot like Chris Rock) for 25 euros and that was nice...but sometimes all you find is mediocre qualilty...If you need specific directions let me know...If you're going for some quality FKK time in Sharks and Oase and traveling from NL but stressed over the border whilst carrying weed --personally I am not in while traveling in certain ways-- it's nice to know that you can pretty safely secure some smoke in situ before you go to any club...

This is exciting news about Oase.

I can confirm the attempt - as of last summer - to squeeze me for e200/60 at Artemis. The rate easily comes down to 150/60 which seems like the new standard, although one regular did grandfather me in at 120/60.

I'm not very familiar with the various reputations of different FKKs, although Artemis seems to be pretty far down on on some people's lists. There is usually a large LU and while some girls can be aggressive and pushy, I just tell them to bugger off and have always found my regulars or other congenial SPs. I enjoyed a visit at Mainhattan last summer as well, but the LU was much smaller, so I prefer Artemis. Since business takes me to Berlin it's really my only option as well.

I have a one month trip planned for September where I will be starting in Amsterdam followed by a Bike Boat 8 Day trip navigating through Holland, Utrecht to Maastricht with one week in between before taking another 8 day trip from Koblenz south through the Mosul Valley. I have a week between trips and after leaving Maastricht plan on visiting the NRW/Frankfurt FKK scene.

I know what you mean about not driving. I wouldn't even consider Oase because of the sheer effort of getting there on public transport.

Yup, complete pain in the ass. At some point you still need to take a taxi/Uber/Lyft anyway and then the whole time I'd be worried about getting back, which would stress me out while I'm supposed to be relaxing and enjoying. Just doesn't work.
