I was in Barcelona in April and had two experiences that I thought I should share on this Message Board...One sex related and one smoke related.

I was staying at the Hotel Royal on La Rambla (Highly Recommended) with my 16 year-old son.

One afternoon, as the boy slept off the effects of a couple of Muphy's Red from the night before, I got the chance to slip away by myself for awhile...
We had seen the street walkers along La Ramla at all times of the day.
Mostly African...and very pushy.
I never found any of these girls attractive so I just figured that I'd be a "good" boy during my time in Barcelona.

So I'm walking down La Rambla, and the FIRST street past the Gran Teatre del Liceu (easy to find) I take a RIGHT TURN.
The street (sorry, don't know the name) can be distinguished since it has red brick pavers.
About 400 yards down the street, I bump into a beautiful lady coming out of a cafe...
She is blond, about 5'4",very sexy and speaks with an Eastern European accent.
She tells me her name is Paloma and asks me if I'd "like to fuck" her...
Ahhh....Very Subtle...Very tempting...But alas I don't have the necessary funds...
I regretfully decline and continue to walk another 100 yards down this red bricked road that spills out into a small plaza... And There they are!!!

At least 12 to 15 girls standing around the Plaza...(It was about 1:30pm)
Most were in the 6 to 8 range... But very nice compared to the 1 to 3's on La Rambla.
They all appeared to be of East European decent.
The asking price was 50 Euros for F & S or 15 minutes which ever comes first..

Now I'm interested...
So, I race back to the Hotel.
Careful not to wake the boy, I grab 50 Euros and head out again.
When I get back to the Plaza, Paloma waves me down from across the street...
50 Euros it is... and off we go into a dark building and up a flight of stairs.
Pay the Maid 10 euros to gain entry to a small room...(Included in the 50).
Spent about 20 minutes together...Lots of fun...

But the point here is the location of these girls.
It is definitely worth the effort to find this plaza.
Remember: Follow the Red Bricked Road...

As for the smoke...
The middle eastern gentlemen that frequent La Rambla at night are the best source.
They are usually selling single beers or sodas from a six-pack.
These are the guys to approach. (According to my bartender friend at the Jules Verne)

I walked up to one guy...asked him if he knew where I could get some good smoke...
He motioned to his friend, who was holding...
I bought 10e of blond hash from him.
I'm guessing it was about a gram.
This guy sold in money not weight. ( 10, 20 or 50e)
It was a decent water based blond...A bit harsh but I still got high...
Only hash...no buds from these gentlemen...

Police don't bother you as long as you don't make deals right in front of them.

Barcelona is one of the world's great cities...A must visit...
(La Boqueria (Also on La Rambla) is the most amazing Farmers Market)
