I will have an 8 hr layover at Schipol in the coming weeks. Is this enough time to travel to the RLD for a bit of fun? Is there anything near Schipol? Any advice is appreciated.

depends how long it'll take you to get through immigration itself, but the train trip from Schipol to Amsterdam is 20 mins MAX, and the RLD is 5 minutes away from Centraal Station. So yeah, 8 hours layover is probably doable.

PLENTY of time for a trip to the RLD....the trains run all the time, and the trip time that the other person posted is accurate....

Very achievable. I did a Schipol -> RLD in a 4hr layover between flights. Had time for a coffee, joint, wander and session. Using the train of course. Made the onward flight a lot more bearable.

You could easily train it to Central Station , have a beer somewhere to relax , do some laps

and using this forum procure 20 minutes of fun with a hot young girl. Still have time to grab

something to eat on the way back.
