I've been punting (mongering) for nearly 15 years now, and had my first ever session with a professional lady in the RLD... but haven't been back since as the second time I visited it was with friends who were on the straight and narrow. But, if something's worth doing, it's worth doing right, and there's no point in going to Amsterdam just for the museums, weed and truffles. I have three nights and four days (two half days anyway), and I'd like to spend some quality time in Amsterdam's most famous tourist attraction, the RLD (am booked into a reasonably cheap central area hotel, so its pretty close). To that end, I wondered if I might write a few brief questions for the older hands on the board, so I can write some positive reports after my trip in October ends (Scout's honour).

1. Does the Banana Bar still invite people up onto the stage to errr, partake of a fruit snack, and if so, are there any drunken arseholes taking pictures on their phones?

2. Given I spent my first trip to Amsterdam in a drunken and stoned daze most of the time, and that was 14 years ago, my geographic sense of it isn't the best. But I seem to remember the windows were in different areas instead of all clustered together. I'm looking to see some window girls but it doesn't necessarily have to be in the centre of the RLD at peak tourist traffic time. Are there any smaller areas with low(er) traffic at specific times that regulars tend to head to/monger during (i.e. is the morning better than the afternoon/evening?)?

3. I'd be grateful for recommendations on where to find any of the following: an SP who loves anal (and/or at least someone who can take a dick on the thicker side), a Dutch SP, or any decent Arab/Moroccan/Algerian SPs. To be honest, from what I've read about Amsterdam on the site just recently, I'll probably go for a wander along Singel or De Pijp a couple of afternoons and just see who is working (probably with a couple of names on the off chance I run across them). Yeah, the high-end agencies in Amsterdam are pretty good, but adultwork, kinky, etc. are always going to be hit or miss. I wouldn’t really bother with escorts if you’re not going high-end. 2. The RLD has changed a lot (shrunk) since your last visit. De Pijp and Singel aside, the main RLD is well concentrated with Oude Kerk on the west, Neumarkt on the east, Stormsteeg on the north, and Stoofsteeg on the south. Exploring all the alleyways within that area, you will pass every window still in business. The tourist crowds thin out around 10pm (earlier in October) and that's about when the night shift starts, too. Daytime quite a few windows are vacant and the crowds of tourists make it unpleasant to monger. De Pijp and Singel are better for daytime mongering, although to be fair quite a few blokes on this board monger in the RLD in daytime.

3. You won't find many (any) Dutch girls in the main RLD anymore. I think there are a few in de Pijp still, but I haven't been there in awhile. The escort listings are the other place to find a Dutch girl, but I don't recommend escorts except for the high-end services. Most girls in the RLD are EE with some Africans around Oude Kerk.

@IQ, thanks, I'll check them out. I had read that the city was gentrifying itself and squeezing the RLD. Bound to happen eventually with all that tourist money sloshing around. Now its here the drugs and sex businesses are getting pushed out. Same thing happened to Times Square back in the 1990s. Might start with De Pijp and Singel then checkout the main RLD once I'm more into the Amsterdam cultural headspace. Will try to leave a report if I end up booking any of the EEs or African ladies!

Sounds like the RLD is a bit like mongering in Soho, where there are still a handful of walk-ups clinging on amide the crowds. I've only been to that once, and had a very pleasant encounter with a Romanian chick, but it reminded me of the stories I'd read on here a bit. Emphasis on fast (if skillful) and upsell if you weren't clear at the start. But will try the night shift and see what's happening once the crowds head home.

@grimnul Dita sounds and looks amazing, however she'd have to be planned for in advance, and to be honest, this was a bit of an impulsive decision to come to Amsterdam for me. She'd be on my to-meet list next time, assuming she was still working. Happy to just try some normal girls this time around tbh. I get the feeling four days isn't really going to be enough, but we shall see what I can cram in.
