I've been going to the RLD since 2005- some of you for much longer. All of us mongers can at least share our past RLD experiences- good, bad, weird and so on. Since the virus onslaught, new postings here have declined, for obvious reasons.

Since new experiences will be few to none (in the near term anyway), let us regale ourselves with tales of yesteryear- come on guys, we all have stories to tell- who was your favorite lady of all time? How was the encounter? What about your worst rip off? Researchers will be interested in this crap in the future!

For example: Some of you might remember Carla, an Italian, who worked in Goldbergersteeg. Some of you might also remember Claudia, a Brazilian, who worked over in Singel. It's no secret that I never much cared for De Wallen RLD, and never once had an encounter that I'd repeat for the money I spent there. Sometimes the conversation alone (for me at least) has been almost as much a part of the proceedings as the nitty gritty. I miss having my long sessions with Maxx. I’d routinely stay with her for 2 or 3 hours, we’d chill, have some great conversations, maybe have a smoke from time to time, and of course, the sex.

I never found Maxx to be my type and looks wise she was attractive but for me at least not a 10/10 however I visited her after reading the rave reviews and wasn’t disappointed! Kim was a great lady too. I didn’t get to see her that many times, she retired not too long after I “discovered” her, but she was very sweet. I remember doggy with her was mind blowing! It is not a brown liquor- it is the color of urine. Never understood it, it was easier to get in Amsterdam than in New York.

Well, had my next nice session with Carla, spent a long afterwards interlude sipping Heineken and generous plastic cupfuls of Mellow Corn, got sent off with an Amsterdam kiss and another traveler cupful of Mellow Corn, staggered up the steps of Goldbergersteeg- paused at the top of the alley, listened to the chimes of the Oude Kerk, and then off into the night- can't remember what I did after that for sure. Think maybe I peed myself at some point on the way back to the hotel.

I agree and my worry is that regular ladies I see in Amsterdam will not return following this long hiatus. I know a couple in the RLD who had been considering leaving for a while anyway, and this pandemic may lead to them thinking its a logical time to make plans to move on to whatever they were planning to do post Amsterdam. Depending on how long this goes on for, there will be others with no previous desire to leave who will also not return.

Of course, some girls will be desperate to make up for the lost money and may actually return and work harder, but there will inevitably be some girls who don't return for various reasons.

I was thinking the exact same thing. Some ladies, the ones with one foot out the door already, probably won’t come back. I do think many will, though. Sex workers are having a rough time right now. They have no revenue, onlyfans was already over saturated before all this, and many countries don’t allow them to get relief benefits. I think many girls have probably lost a lot of money due to this and won’t be able to afford to retire yet, and I doubt they’d be willing to go back to a minimum wage/entry-level job after they’ve become used to potentially being able to make thousands in a few days. I do think there’s going to be a boom in sex work when this is all over. If anything, I think it might be difficult to book escorts and such for a bit since there’ll be so much demand. Hell, I already have 3 bookings prepaid for for whenever the lockdown lifts here (god, I hope it’s soon!).

I actually think the number of sex workers should increase and their level of service should be better. Not many people are fully aware of the significant long-term financial and economic impacts of COVID-19. Job unemployment is at a recent all time high. Businesses and companies are going into administration, many more will follow in the coming months. Stock markets have crashed. A global recession is approaching, with most countries taking on large amounts of additional debt to combat COVID-19.

Due to the situation/circumstances, I actually think more people will be fighting to work in the RLDs and as they want repeat business/more customers. One hopes that their level of service should also go up.

Anyway, that is my two cents.

Girls being forced into sex work by current circumstances is NOT going to increase service quality. The only girls who give good service are the ones who do it because they want to do it regardless.

I agree that there may be new girls wanting to enter the market and most of the original girls will return because they will have missed the lost earnings and will want to make up for it.

However, those who had been considering leaving and who have savings may view it as a logical time to move on to their next path in life - I think there will inevitably be a small minority of girls who leave. Also September is being mentioned as a re-starting date for the sex industry in the Netherlands; that is a long 6 month break and some girls may have a mentality shift or may engage in discussions with others about doing something else when the economies reopen. Some girls may be nervous about returning to close and intimate contact with numerous strangers prior to the release of a vaccine, and may delay their return. 6 months is a long time...

Overall though I think it will be a small number of girls who do not return. I am praying that the couple of regulars I see will be back!

As for service, I wouldn't be confident about saying it will be better. If I was a betting man, I'd say it may be worse as some girls will still be anxious about Covid and may restrict certain services.

This. I've mentioned already on this forum that my regular privehuis announced a restriction in services (no DFK) even prior the lockdown back in early March, so to expect that service will be better in September is nothing more than wishful thinking.

I agree that service likely won’t be better. I think the exception is going to be the ladies who truly enjoy their work. They’re missing sex as much as we are.
