We have visited Amsterdam normally twice a year since 1998. The city has changed or else we have changed . Used to be every moment every corner had something cool going on today . Today it seems like just another big city with some old buildings .. Amsterdam had character and characters. Today it seems like a scam. We used to like the giant penis fountain in the RLD . A funny character a black guy that walked by the Old Sailor if he seen a beer sitting he grabbed it and ran . Everyone would laugh . The guy at Susie’s that gathered glasses at Susie’s that wore the aligator hat. Today you walk into a store it is like buy something and get out. The prices are over the top the hotel we paid 100.00 US before Covid is now 225. 00 and no breakfast . The swingers club seems to be nothing but posers . I know , I know I am complaining please forgive me . But we are going to check out Bangkok next month ….Airfare 1100.00 and a room in Nana plaza 31.00 a night . …Love Amsterdam but

I have been regularly visiting the mongering scenes for ages now...perhaps close to 20 years.

I have not visited a working girl in Amsterdam since 2015, and tend to avoid it now...in favour of other places.

Amsterdam isn't gone. It is just more subtle than it used to be.
You don't get the same experience in the Wallen. The crowds, the deliberate mismanagement of foot traffic, and the costs are major negatives. Early shutdown of bars and liquor sales don't help.
It used to be possible to never venture more than a few blocks from OZA and have a magnificent time.
I don't think that is true anymore.
However....
The SIngel and the Pijp are still great, and options for food and drink in those areas are expanding.
The smaller RLD's in other towns have not been under as much pressure to change as the Wallen. Alkmaar, Antwerp, Den Hague and Brussels are all options. They aren't as attractive as the wallen (Alkmaar is close), and there aren't as many things to do as Amsterdam, but they are still fun.
It is still a beautiful place to bike and walk. Museums are fantastic, and food is as well.
I feel like the current Wallen is becoming a museum itself. The overwhelming crowds are there mostly to gawk, not punt, and that really changes the vibe. I've tripped over a baby stroller at midnight. Who the hell brings a baby in a stroller to the Wallen after midnight? If Disney wanted to make a cleaned-up, PC version of Amsterdam for tourists to gawk at in a theme park, it would have baby strollers at midnight! The real Amsterdam should not.
The Wallen isn't going away, but the days of 200+ windows are over
Learn to get around, learn to take the trains, and there is still plenty of fun to be had. The escort scene is exploding, and the FKK's are great fun. I am sad that I will never get to have another window romp for 50 Guilder (or three romps in an hour...being 25 and stupid was such fun!). I'm back for a month starting in mid-April, and I am sure I will have a fantastic time!

amsterdam RLD is still there, it is not gone...but it is definitely far from its peak times...however, if you are very careful, there is still some fun to be had. However, for nearly 9 years...I have not been to any of the girls there as there are better RLDs and better providers elsewhere. GL with your decisions, and choices.

For the last few years I have stuck to just a few regular girls in Amsterdam, never daring to go with an unknown or un reviewed girl. Unfortunately that lowered after COVID when some regulars didn't come back. I miss the days of just walking around and picking one usually around the old church area. I am now going to explore other options like Alkmaar and train in to Amsterdam mainly during the day for nostalgia and maybe a romp with a regular.

Regulars are the best choice for a quality session, and good service. It is best to have lots of options of regulars as they can be quite busy at times. Alkmaar is definitely highly recommended. You should try it out, and once you have met the right girls there - you may never go back to Amsterdam! :)
