Been lurking around for a few months, and have found this site to be very helpful.

Well, I'm going to be in Amsterdam for about a month to get some work done. I'll probably be posting a few messages about the pending trip, so I'd thought it would be appropriate to start with a question about getting some wheels.

I guess renting a bike for a month would be a waste of money (that could, should and will be speant on Cheeba). Where can I go to buy a cheap used bike for the month?

Take the train to any smaller town and buy a bike ($100) for half the price then in Amsterdam. Sell it in Adam when you leave.
