I am planing on taking a trip to Amsterdams RLD by my self comming from the states.I plan on smoking some weed,eating some food,and last but not least having alota sex.I have scaned the site and have done a search on this topic and have came out empty so a new topic seems like the thing to do.I am planing on a 5 or 6 day stay and from my figures i belive 3k(american) seems about right.I would just like the price tweeked by some vets who have been there and understand how the money flys while you are there and emersed in the scene.Any help would be appreciated.

Your rough estimate of $3k seems like it should be plenty, but it all depends upon how much you wish to indulge.

Beer 25E-35E (6 to 8 Pints @ 4E per Pint)

Sex 100-150E (1 good hr session with a quickie for lunch)

You can save some money on Hotels by booking at the Tourist Info Center, Eat at Albert Heijn,,, maybe bogart someone elses joint, drink OP Beer, go to the African Quarter,Pijp, or Singel, and Walk everywhere. Doing Shrooms will curb your appetite, diminish your sex drive, eliminate your want of smoke, and keep you awake,, so you could really save some money if you eat those for breakfast every day!

I ever tried to managed well my money, i usually stay for 4 days, planning spend 2000€...and spending 1500€ :) (dutch people learn me how to do!)


basic daily budget can be:

100€ for sex (at least, better more !!!)

100€ for weeds, food (not expencive restaurant, of course), transport, souvenirs, museums

100€ for a 3 star hotel (booking online)


for 6 day you need 1800 € (2200 $) at least . You have to add flight.

So, if flight and hotel are inclusive, you need at least 3000$.

If you are planning to spend 3000$ excluding hotel and flight you have 400€ a day and you can add escort service and restaurant to your program.

I say at least 300€ a day...
I spend 1500€ for 3-4 days ( take away 200€ for flight from Venice)...that are 430-325€ (525$-400$)a day !!

but this is well if you are alone. If you are with friends you spend more in beer, weeds, drinks ecc..
