planned on seeing madness at the melkweg 19/7 but it appears to be sold out. what are the chances of getting one off a tout for summat like this? are they about?

just gotta see them nutty boys and i've already got my ticket for gregory isaacs/u-roy/frankie paul the next night.

I was at a gig there last year... and playing on another stage were Interpol, who had sold out.

Now in London you'd get touts walk up and down shouting "Tickets for Interpol, I buy or sell!".

But the way it's done there is weird and funny -- people needing tickets would stand in silence holding pieces of card saying "Tickets for Interpol wanted"... and I assumed they only got lucky if another punter had some spares. Very serene compared to the shouting and bartering outside a London gig.

So I saw no tout activity... and as this appeared to be the ONLY sold out gig that month, they'd be no real call for them. But as this was just one time, I can't say this is typical.

My advice? Take some card and hope it's not raining!

I usually order my Amsterdam gig tickets from them and they're always really helpful.

They may have some returns or could suggest any other possibilities.

I've never seen touts outside the Melkweg. I'd also try the venue earlier in the day to see if they've had any returns.
