Greetings Ignatzsters from Philly. I am forced on my trip in early Srept to stay in the pijp because of the IBC convention.I am a veteran of Amsterdam but I must plead ignorant of the exact locatiopn of the Red lights in the Pijp. A little geographic help would be much appreciated Thanks Ed

Onceagain2 Thanks for your reply I will check it out on a map./ I feel more familiar with other parts of the city than that. I know where Katsu is so at least I can get good supplies Thanks Ed

Why don't you sneak out and go to the Wallen. Its not that far from there. Take a tram, it will take a couple of minutes at most.

If you're checking out the rld on Ruysdaelkade, be sure to stop in
at de Kabouter coffeeshop. If you're walking south down Ruysdaelkade,
you'll find the shop immediately after the last kamer.
I always stay near the Rijksmuseum and find myself spending a lot of
time in de Pijp, biking around. I always stop in at Katsu, but actually prefer
de Kabouter (means The Gnome, or Dwarf), stopping in there every day.
A totally non-touristy shop filled with friendly locals.
I'm a light hash fanatic and I love the King Hassan from Kabouter.
When you're looking over the de Pijp's rld, be sure to look up at the windows
above, too. Most of the women in this area are a bit older than in the main rld,
but there were a couple young stunners in April. Check back at different times
of the day, too.
And if you're in de Pijp, don't forget about Park 118.
