Totally new to RLD's and am thinking of coming over to see what the fuss is about and possibly to have some fun :)

Any recommendations on do's and don'ts?

While just about anything that you could possibly want for the purposes of having a great time will be available to you in Amsterdam, it will still be up to you to create the good time. No one will be there providing a guided tour. You will take back what you put into it.

Most of the do's and dont's are very similar to travel do's and dont's for anywhere - things like carry as little cash on you as possible, always have a copy of your passport, etc. If there's any downside to Amsterdam it's that the general party atmosphere that you see in the RLD at night makes it all too easy to forget good old common sense.

don't take photos in the RLD and just have your wits about ya
i think it takes a bit of getting used to
maybe a bit intimidating at first
but it really gets normal after a few visits i think

Dont walk, run ...its like nothing else...read the board, dont take pictures of the girls, and enjoy the company and the smoke!!!
