I mean it cannot be a coincidence that everyone I encounter who has been to Thailand has fell in love with the place. The land of smiles, I can only imagine the deep depression upon leaving. The live and let live attitude they have is such an amazing trait that the rest of the world should really adopt. The beauty it's places, it's weather and the people appear to be so infectious (and so, so, so hot!).

Yes, it is a special place!
I mean, sex is just one part of the thing, you can get that everywhere but what's special in thailand are people.They have some kind of magic, i don't know what, difficult to explain.. With all the girls I've been with i always had nice talks, like we've always been friends, and actually even more then that, you feel warmth.. Amazing.
Of course there are also the downsides, you never know if it's just for business or not (even if in many cases i'm quite sure it's not, or at least not only), then there are the disease-related dangers and so on..but perfection doesn't exist.
I'm chatting in skype or phone or email almost everyday with those girls, i hope i can go back next week for a long weekend (i work in asia, not too far from there), otherwise asap, cant wait! :)

I’ve never been short of things to do in Patts during the day. Firstly there is a pub crawl up Soi 6, plenty of activities such as golf, go kart racing, good shopping, chilling at the pool, the list goes on…..



Just say the phrase “I No have money” so see how quickly that ‘genuine in being nice and showing warmth’ will disappear!

If you do ever go to Thailand, do your research beforehand so that you can get a feel for the emotional roller coaster you will be in for.

Yeah I understand that but I mean in comparison to some other experiences where your pushed to get eye contact from a girl let alone an introduction or even a conversation. I know how it works, all you are is a few Baht but I like the idea of having the more personal service, with a girl that makes your time pleasant even though it's fake. I did loads of research before I went to Thailand. Read up on how mongering works over there, read up on the culture, learn some basic Thai, made notes of the best hotels and bars, printed off maps. You name it, I did it. Want you will never be prepared for is how you will be treated (not just by the bar girls, but everyone that you come into contact with), oh and the major downer that hits immediately that you land back home again!

It is worth beg, borrowing and stealing to have that experience just once. Trouble is once will never be enough!

I've been there again and I have to say I'm still in love with this place, actually even more than before! i think it was one of the most boring things i've ever seen. the narration is terrible and the main guy contradicts himself endlessly, well past the point where you accept he is confused with his life and you just want to slap him for being a moody shite. in some scenes he just acts like an absolute tool. and then in the end, he gets an offer to stay in thailand and refuses! fuck! what a waste of time hahahaha

i guess though, if anything, the film does show (without unfortunately "showing" too much) how easy it is to get sucked into the whirlwind of thailand, pattaya especially.

You'll note the context in which I recommended it. I didn't recommend it for its artistic content or for its entertainment value, but rather in preparation for the emotional roller coaster that most guys go on when they visit Thailand and in particular Pattaya for the first time.

well... i went there...again :)
thailand is like this, it's a drug, the moment you're leaving you're already thinking how and when to go back..
this time the occasion was the water festival, or songkran as they call it: it's a lot of fun!
i went with a friend, first stop bangkok and we ended up at soi cowboy: how crazy! felt like a teenager, fighting with my water gun with all the tourists and the beautiful girls :)
next stop, patts, again songkran: this time we go to soi 6, really wild so that i gotta get a bigger gun but it's still not enough :D after a full day of playing with water, small rest and dinner, i managed to meet my girl from the first trip, the one who made me dream and whom i've been in contact with. She picks me up at my hotel and takes me to a bar where she meets her friends, we drink and chat for some time and have a good time. then an accident happens to her friend's sister, she's almost dying (she will make it), i lose senses, when i wake up she helps me to recover and then takes me back to the hotel..
we're still confused, we shower and then she comes naked to the bed: i wasn't thinking to have any sex but she was so beautiful i couldnt resist... It was an amazing sex, we kiss, touch, switch positions several times until i come..simply amazing! she stole my heart!

Always fancied going and with my 40th next year might be the right time.

One question though, when is the best time to go for cooler weather and is it still busy enough then? Me, I don't like it too hot. For example, I prefer to go to the US late September to avoid the summer months.

it's hot all year round, but during the "winter months" (december, january) it's a bit less and in the evening the temperature is more acceptable
but it's also fun no matter when you go! during the rainy season (may-oct) a bit slower
