Hi,i just completed my first Costa Rica trip, met a few fine ladies including my favorite at the Mona Lisa where i stayed. Many gems to be found at Del Rey and Sportsmen,s Lodge also at about the same price as in the Wallen except no rushed service!
Now if anyone here may have info,i like to know more of staying in Costa Rica which i found out is a lot more open to us US citizens wanting to be there to live than in Holland.I found the easiest way is being a Pensionado, meaning retired.I found online the requirements -no felony record in the US,etc i can meet, however the financial rule is US $1000 minimum available for life.I get more than twice that from Social Security Disability, but in my award letter was told it will be reviewed in 5-7 years which will bring me to my normal retirement age. Will the Costa rican govt accept the social security now which is twice what they want to see or will they require to be for life period which will not be for 4 years when it becomes automatically converted to retirement benefits which will be for life?
