In my mind it is a no brainer to go to the Puerto Plata or Sosua area. In my mind Sosua is preferable for several reasons. Every girl there, every waitress, secretary, shop assistant, hairdresser, etc. is basically hoping to meet a nice guy who will love her and take care of her, so many girls come to Sosua like so many little Dick Whittington's hoping to find the streets paved with gold.

Punta Cana has lovely beaches and is full of all-inclusive resorts where you are NOT allowed to take in women. You will stilll get laid there one way or another, but Sosua is much better in that respect. Sosua also has the advantage of being small, meaning you can do everything on foot, with occasional use of a motorcycle taxi t the casino, etc.

While they (the girls) are waiting to hit it rich, they have to get by any way they can, which includes having sex with new aquaintances, if that is what it takes to pay the rent. Same goes for many girls (single mothers) who live in the various small towns in the area, and who come out at night to the disco in Sosua.
