A fascinating movie about the Dutch Resistance during WWII.
Highly recommended
Based on true events
http://www.zwartboekdefilm.nl/Indeed one of the most beautiful, entertaining, tragic, and witty film of the last decade. Carice Van Houten is absoluty stunning and her part is brilliantly written. Top notch cinematography, art direction and dialogues. Zwartboek has been released with title "Black Book" for the movie theaters. It was nice to see and hear dutch language as Verhoeven made some films in North America in english (from the masterpiece "Showgirls" in 1995 -with over exciting and over the top play by Elizabeth Burkley as a strip dancer to "Hollow man" and between Hollow Man and Zwartboek there was a huge gap of six years without any film)
Such a shame Verhoeven could not making any other films after that one (2006), but he has many other projects, some are avorted now, and he has turned back to the TV, filming another story for Dutch Television. The trailer is quite attractive (mix of sex and violence, one of the most attractive ingredients of his cinema). I don't know when it will be available in DVD, but it's sounds interesting.
