Try echinacea, 2000 mg of Vitamin C a day and Airborne - works for me.

And eat fresh veg as well.... lots of it.

Also, apparently a high sugar diet suppresses the immune system.

I second the echinacea and Vitamin C (no experience with Airtborne)

I find echinacea to be more effective early on, just when you feel like you might be starting to catch something. If you already have the cold, it seems to be less effective.

Get a good nights rest is also imortatnt for the immune system. So rest and take it easy, eating a lot of vitamins and all sorts of cold medecines. If you think your breaking out a fever then it's important to try and get it over with fast with help of paracetamol and such. You catch a fever quickly you can kill it in 1-3 days easily. Drink a lot of water to. I hope your not getting a cold or that it passes fastly. Have a nice trip.

oh yeah also:

-don't booze. dunno about you but if I booze on a cold, I feel like shit the next day.
-also remember that most of the decongestants to unblock your nose are usually just a stimulant like caffeine. so some coffees and cokes wouldn't go amiss.

I hear the traditional folk remedy of a 69bj with a Bloedstraat transsexual will do the job. Or a fisting off an old church African mama.

Water, water ,and more water.....I also have found that turning the shower on high heat and taking a steambath helps but be sure to not jump out of the shower and into a cold room

take care that your nose won't drip into her face so

a) you tie a handkerchief over your face in mish

or

b) order her to stand with her hands on the sink and fuck her from behind.

Raw garlic is very useful too. Cut it to little pieces and swallow with some liquid. Some of it every a few hours, specially for throat sore.

Cheap and useful, but not very good for socialicing...just like theirs tobacco aroma.

Good luck!

I have had excellent results on SEVERAL occasions with a product called Airborne. You take it wice a day in water, it is like ALka Seltzer but tastes sweeet and fruity. I have beaten EVERY sickness in two days after being on it. You can buy it over the counter at any Pharmacy in the states, not sure about other places.

thanks for all the replys, this cold seems to be a non event, I've just had the snuffles and feel a little tried, but I'm taking a few things mentioned for it. I must remember to take it easy and reserve my energy for my first night in Amsterdam. And remember to back off if I'm too tried, nothing worst than going with a working girl when your too tried to get it up :-<.

oh yes I'll give a report, I always do, well, at least I did the last time I was in Amsterdam six years ago. But I'm a fussy bugger, I spend ages looking for cute ladies in high heels and stockings, which as I remember was a rare site in the windows. Plus the fact that I'm in my forties so I'm not as able as the young bucks here. But I will report back on any success or failure :-).
