The first ever THC Expo in North America is happening at the Los Angeles Convention Center June 13-14, 2009. Most major coffee-shops in Amsterdam will be there (Greenhouse, Barneys, and even DNA has a booth), as will hundreds of local/Cali dispensaries.

In the exhibit hall adjacent to the THC Expo will be the Erotica LA Convention happening at the same time, both of which are public invited shows.

Sounds like fun! Hard to imagine a "Cannabis Cup" type event in good weather with girls rolling bye in bikini's.

I will be in San Francisco the following week and will be visiting Golden Gate Park for their annual Summer Solstice event. Nothing like walking thru the Haight District and then up the street (thru a cloud of smoke) into the park.

Maybe I'll come over to LA first and check out the fun.

It will be a trade show that is 3-4 times larger than the one at the Cannabis Cup that showcases the many uses of cannabis and hemp. From medicines and foods to fuels, there will also be dispensaries signing new patients, the coffee-shops from Amsterdam will be there (probably looking for a way into a new and growing market), grow seminars, paraphernalia of all kinds, and 'special guests' whatever that means...

It will not be a Cannabis Cup style of event in the smoking department. The LA Convention Center is public property and there is no smoking of anything on public property. Sad but true, the smoking Nazis are in full power here in the city of Angels. I'm sure that a building full of adult entertainers and cannabis lovers will find a way ;)

The only sure things here are (1) in the middle of June it will be hot in LA, (2) skin will be bared at an adult-entertainment convention, and (3) cannabis will be consumed one way or another...
