Oh, how very strange to look myself up on the internet to find that someone put my letter to the Philly Metro on the chat board hear! Quite funny! UPDATE: Philly 's Shitty Council voted to ammend the bill further that would keep philly shopkeepers not only from selling papers and loosies in corner shops, but also keep the two big headshops in the area from staying open at all. Basically, it hasn't been passed but hasn't been tossed in the trash either. They'll just keep adding provisions to it till it gets passed or who the hell knows what. I suppose the fact that this town had 406 (YES) murders last year and more than 20 so far this year just might be enough to keep the council's attention.....wishful thinking I'm sure. 'Cuz "drugz" kill ya know...

I thought I was responding to someone who posted a letter I wrote to a newspaper in Philadelphia, PA, USA back in October--but I wound up putting up a new post instead! Sorry. Its apparently not even possible to respond at this point.
Anyway, there are these insanely misguided people in our town who think that if they ban storeowners from ever selling any rolling papers, blunts (AKA "Loosies") or smoking paraphernalia of any kind that it will keep teenagers from using marijuana or using drugs. You do the math...Anybody can make a smoking apparatus out of household objects, tin foil or a plastic soda bottle. All they'll do is force people more underground and give dealers more to sell. The people on Philly City Council are supposed to either pass or can it, but can't make up their minds.
Oh well, there's no send to idiocy.
