Those who had more than 1000 posts have had theirs deleted (all but the last 100), f.ex. Pepto's and MikeD's and Fred's. What's up?

Posts haven't been deleted. The post count was reset. Moderators don't need to show up on the list, and since certain posters were permanently lodged on the list, with no hope of anyone else ever nudging their way in, we reset all those with over 1,000 posts. One of these was by request.

Who posts how many isn't really important, now is it? The primary purpose of the 'top poster" thingie is to fill space on the front page.

Not at all, but I thought they were gone (sure looked liked they were gone for good yesterday, but I might have been mistaken). Would it also be possible to get Mikes poem back or would that be pushing it?

No posts have been removed. For example, if you do an author search for "Fred", you'll still find all of the more than 14 pages worth of posts.

This happens to be a subject I'm particularly sensitive to.

I know I'm talking about posts from over a year ago... but I never saved a lot of my reports from years back and I wish I could re-live them every so often with a read. I've mentioned it a few times with no response- is there any way to get copies of those old posts?

I suppose I enjoy living in the past every so often...

Yes, if you wish, we can retrieve posts made prior to 2004. Anything (well, almost) for a supporting member ;-)
