I'll be planning a trip soon for maybe August or September. I'm not a big smoker but it's all part of the wonderful Dam experience lol

From what I understand the ban will not happen, I know a guy who has a coffeeshop just outside the redlight and he tells me that they are already looking for ways round the ban and one tactic they may use is to simply ignore it completely and if they are prosecuted they will launch legal challenge after legal challenge and the ban will be suspended, I suppose we won't know for sure until Jan 1st 2013.

I'll be there in April 2013. If anything, my sister-in-law has said she will get me in touch with her Dutch friends, or I can visit with her brother-in-law to get around the stupid foreigner ban. It's in the Dutch nature to ignore stupid laws, so this may go on the books, but it will not be enforced.

Hey guys, rather than making another topic I thought I would just bump this for an update. I was planning on visiting around Jan 20! Hopefully this law doesn't happen, but even if it does I still plan on coming. Any update?

Only hope now is if Amsterdam chose to ignore it as they do with a few other law's. You still be able to get weed there as be plenty of street dealers just that you can't go in any coffee shops so look for a good dealer remember to look at the weed and smell it ect.. and if it's your liking buy some and smoke in a few smoke friendly bar's

Ah well, I guess I can still look forward to the girls. There's no way that's getting banned right lol...

And how many people will annoy every Dutch person asking for it will pised them off even more. There will be ton's of street dealers so it's just the case of looking at it and smelling it. last but not least make sure they give you the right bag. Or If you got friend's who live there then you be sorted
