i have recently brought back 5g of weed from holland :)..
northern light,sticky fingers,white widow and laughing buddha..purchased from
willie wortels in haarlem or barneys in amsterdam..when smoking the white widow
the roach gets very hot and burns lips.. all the way from the top to the end of the joint....any idea why this would be?..weed not flushed?..

That's one possibility. There may be others, but certainly a buildup of nitrogen is said to cause the problem you describe, and good flushing should halp this. It's not something I've ever noticed, but then the direct comparison you're doing will help highlight any differences.
Does it still get you stoned?

flushing is one issue but drying and curing might also be the cause. perhaps they rushed a little??? Ed

I find that if you blend it with tobacco the problems are minimised (but there are drawbacks), but if you don't like it probably best not to smoke it at all - sounds like you got a few plans B anyway...
