I will be there in a few days. If I have the chance I am going to ask one of the local police if they would prefer the old policy over this new silliness. I suspect I know what they would say already.

I'd like to know what idiot came up with this idea. What a moron!

Now I'm not Dutch so I don't know. I assume coffee shops were illegal in the past. And dealers were in abundance. Then some government official decided to make it legal to reduce the dealers and all was happy. People could buy weed without the fear of arrest and I assume the government were getting something tax related. Now we are back to the dark ages. Crime is up and various other illegal activities.

So a major rethink is needed.

when in eindhoven before christmas i was asked about half a dozen times over a few days if i wanted to buy anything on the street. never been asked before when visiting before the ban.

such a shame, signs up in coffee shop windows apologising for the new rules and asking visitors not to enter.
