It's a
clusterfuck of a law. Intending a law which turned out to be against EU regulations to sell cannabis; it became a law that if you belong to a cannabis social club (which don't yet exist) or grow it yourself, you can smoke it.
Getting weed somewhere is illegal because you can't buy it nor can someone give it to you. If an authority asks you, I've read, you don't need to mention where you got it (I assume it's the equivalent of having the right to remain silent).
In the
bubatzkarte (
Bubba Kush Map), the places you can't smoke are indicated in red. The red regions are a simple calculation of 100 meters from areas where children go to school or play. The law as it's written says "within sight of". The consensus is that the courts will need to determine whether, for example, a building in the way breaks line-of-sight (
https://www.wa.de/verbraucher/cannabis- ... 18474.html). The time restrictions in the pedestrian zones only apply to those areas not also marked red.
Apparently, the German Cannabis Law is practically somewhat of an April Fools Day joke...
Maybe, rather have a beer,
