Police seize 15,000 cannabis plants

Police in the town of Drachten in Friesland Province seized 15,000 cannabis plants and destroyed them. Civilian town watch officers smelled cannabis smoke while they were checking a suspicious car on 'De Hemmen' industrial estate in the early hours of Tuesday morning. The police were called in and discovered the three occupants of the car had a rubbish bag filled with cannabis plants. The plantation was found during a follow-up search.
