The flavored blunts are nice, with the right weed. No need for tobacco. Roll it like a joint, but moisten the whole leaf so it does not crack. Yummy...

My opinion is that mixing weed with blunts are a trend, a fad, and are a complete waste. If you want to make your drug taste harsher than normal then by all means smoke it with tobacco. I confess that once I got suckered into doing a blunt, and after one or two tokes I realized what a crock it was. But I respect that others may feel differently.

Indeed, to each their own.

Born and raised in NYC, blunts have become firmly entrenched as the preferred smoking vehicle in urban youth culture. It's what all the kids use to smoke. Not to mention the entire hip-hop world since the early '90s.

In any case, I smoked a blunt just last night, a vanilla flavoured Dutch Master to be precise. Although it's a once-in-a-while thing for me these days, a blunt stuffed with some excellent haze is certainly something one could learn to appreciate and enjoy! (ps. the vanilla flavour I believe is in the actual tobacco, not the leaf, so the taste of my gear wasn't overpowered)

As so far as rolling a blunt is concerned, and the techniques associated with doing so...well, I'm sure there are websites dedicated to the topic. There are different techniques for different brands of blunts. The easier blunts to roll are Philly blunts because they have no separate 'leaf'. Dutch Masters, El Productos and Garcia y Vegas for example, have a delicate brown or green leaf, respectively, that needs to be removed gently before the blunt is cracked open and stuffed. Then, the leaf is re-rolled around the blunt. It's difficult to describe without going in to it too deeply :) For sure though, you don't want to add tobacco to the mixture as the tobacco leaf that flavours the blunt is enough! And as for a filter, well, although it's not traditional NYC style to have a filter, I used one last night. I don't think the pot police will arrest you for it ;-)

In Amsterdam, many shops sell simple blunt leafs along with a variety of rolling papers. Try one of these first and figure out if you like it, then move on to something more challenging!

Happy smoking~

Every group has that one person who is pre-selected to become the official roller, the reciter of the famous mantra:

"Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays this roller from the swift completion of his appointed rounds"

Chalk it up to technique, but yeah, I'm traveling the world, twisting highly smokeable apparati on many continents...and windy mountaintops as well of course.

'Tis my manifest destiny, methinks.
