The Mirror this morning says 4oz - calculated at 500 joints for its readers from Middle England - would be permitted under Government guidelines announced yesterday. Even an ounce for personal would be 23g more than allowed in Amsterdam, so I don't know where these figures are coming from myself. Either way if you can now drink 24hrs a day and get away with mugging for a mobile phone, think they should go the whole way and let us plant our patios every summer...

do you think one of the reason they won't legalize it is that there is no road side test to see if you have been smokin'?..not like with booze.

4 oz = 500 joints or 1 oz = 125 joints.

I would hate to see the size of those joints....... in the words of Cheech...... is that a toothpick ?

I would be lucky to get 40 joints out of an ounce or 160 out of 4 oz. Of course the ones I roll would be tobacco free.

Ah but there is road side test that will start being used in the US in the next year.
It's a mouth swab that is 99% effective and takes 2 minutes.
Bad news for us smokers.

What's the tolerance on these sort of tests? I heard that some tests (not sure which) can show a positive result even over 48hrs after smoking cannabis - some rumours say that a positive reading can be obtained a fortnight later...!!!

Now there's a worry if one gets stopped a couple of days after flying back from Mokum...
