We will be staying one night at the Renaissance Amsterdam at Kattengat 1.
I read in a review of this hotel that there are several coffee shops right out its front door.
However, I cannot find Kattengat on a map! All I know is that it is not far from Central Station.
Does anyone know which coffee shops are around this hotel?

The Doors, The Rokerij II, and the Bulldog are across the street (Singel) and all three serve beer.

There are two bulldogs there, both of which suck hairy balls.
The Rokerij is there, it's decent. I haven't tried the doors. You're also near Barney's, which won the cup. Actually there are at least 20 shops within a 5 minute walk.

There is a bar there called Wonderbar, you get your goods somewhere else and hang at wonderbar. For $5 they set up a sweet hookah and you can sit in there on REALLY comfortable couches and hit the hookah and watch super hot chicks walk down the street.

hotel is great have stayed there 3 times and coming back this summer ( thank god they take marriott points) anyways going out hotel look to your left across canal decent shop. easy to deal with.
