I was just wondering if people would be interested in an event in Amsterdam that was well rounded & much better than the Cannabis Cup. I love the city, & have seen the Cup from several angles. I like the event, but it could be a lot better (you could get value for your money). What does everyone think? What types of activities would interest people? I would appreciate the feedback from anyone.

I would definately be interested. Here is my main reasons for going to cup.

1) Bud
some of the best of the year and seemingly always semi new strains and hashes of top quality

2) Social Atmosphere
loads of Americans that like the plant, smoke and/or grow. generally nice, easygoing people. older and younger smokers alike, and many connoisseurs like myself

3) Expo
I like the little booths where vendors sell their wares and you can meet people like Soma and formerly Eagle Bill, among other well known people. you can also see nice plants growing, some could be from other places, even hawaii

4) Shuttle
I can never seem to get the trams right, and taxi drivers seem like they don't want to drive anywhere so I really appreciate the shuttle from coffeeshop to coffeeshop, it can be very helpful and even makes the places slightly easier to find

5) Parties
there are always a few good parties going on outside of the cup, kinda like commercially thrown by shops and other companies, but still good fun

6) Everything else I like is pretty much constant, like the RLD and the city itself, guess I am a big movie buff as well so doing it at the same time as a film festival would be a great combination for me, but other than that, the weather maybe could be better and I would love the dollar to be a bit more strong, if you could fix that I would be real happy ;)

Excellent idea. Seeds Botique already hosts an excellent event. ICMag 420 cup. Went last 05 and had a great time. Have to pass this year but would go if the funds were available. Check it out if you can. Tell Gypsy hello.
